Routine Appointments
Routine appointments are made with the reception staff either by telephone or by calling in at the surgery. Each appointment with the Doctor is for 10 minutes.
All apointments booked with the Doctor are for one person. Please book a separate appointment for each member of the family who needs to be seen.
Urgent Appointment Requests
A recent review of the services we provide has highlighted the need to improve the system we currently have in place to deal with requests for urgent on the day appointments and queries.
- If you feel you need a same day appointment with the doctor you telephone the surgery first on the usual number. – 01980 623983, Fax 01980 625530
- You will be asked to provide a contact number and the Duty Doctor will phone you back to discuss you problem with you
- When returning your call the doctor may simply offer advice, may issue you with an appropriate prescription or will arrange a mutually convenient time for you to be seen.
It is our hope with this new system patients will be able to discuss their problems with a Doctor quicker, and will not have to wait indefinitely in a waiting room full of other sick people.
